Alnair AI

Self-hosted AI agent platform pairing a Rust/Axum backend with a Vue 3 workspace: multi-agent orchestration, hybrid RAG, MCP tools, workspace access, approval controls, and OpenAI-compatible APIs in one deployable stack.

Overview

A workspace where a team runs AI agents against its own models, documents, and machines, without handing data to a hosted platform.

The hard part

Coordinating long multi-agent runs (delegation, budgets, context limits, approvals) while every tool call that touches a real machine stays permissioned and auditable.

The approach

A 25-crate Rust workspace separates orchestration, RAG, tools, channels, and storage; runs track budgets and write memory back, tool calls pass permission modes and approval hooks before execution, and local access goes through a paired desktop bridge or a Docker sandbox.
